UAE petrol falls 24 fils in November 2026: check tyre pressure

UAE petrol fell 24 fils and diesel 5 fils a litre on 1 November 2026. What that saves on a tank, and how much under-inflated tyres could take back.

Short answer

  • From 1 November 2026, all three petrol grades fell 24 fils a litre and diesel fell 5 fils.
  • Special 95 is now Dh4.04; Super 98 Dh4.16; E-Plus 91 Dh3.97; diesel Dh4.75.
  • A 60-litre petrol fill costs Dh14.40 less than in October.
  • US agencies say under-inflation costs about 0.2% to 0.3% in fuel per psi lost; check pressure cold, from the door label.

UAE petrol prices fell by 24 fils a litre on 1 November 2026, and diesel fell by 5 fils. A 60-litre fill of petrol now costs Dh14.40 less than in October. If your tyres are low, though, part of that saving is rolling away, and the fix costs nothing.

What changed on 1 November

The Gasoline and Diesel Prices Follow-up Committee's new prices were reported on 31 October, through the state news agency WAM. Arabian Business said the cut ended three straight monthly rises, in August, September and October.

Fuel October 2026 November 2026 Change per litre
Super 98 Dh4.40 Dh4.16 Down 24 fils
Special 95 Dh4.28 Dh4.04 Down 24 fils
E-Plus 91 Dh4.21 Dh3.97 Down 24 fils
Diesel Dh4.80 Dh4.75 Down 5 fils

Prices are set monthly, so December's could go either way.

What does it save?

Example October cost November cost Saving
60 litres of Special 95 Dh256.80 Dh242.40 Dh14.40
1,000 litres of diesel for a fleet vehicle Dh4,800 Dh4,750 Dh50

These are illustrations, not typical figures. Use your own monthly fill to work out yours.

How much can low tyre pressure cost?

A modest amount for one car, but it adds up for a fleet. We found no UAE-specific test, so the figures here come from US agencies. The US Department of Energy puts the loss at about 0.2% in fuel for every 1 psi the average pressure across all tyres drops, as reported by WCNC. NHTSA, the US road safety regulator, gives 0.3%, and says correct inflation can improve mileage by up to 3.3%.

Here is what those rates mean if all four tyres sit 5 psi below your door-label figure. That is an example of a shortfall, not a pressure to aim for.

Example Fuel lost at 0.2% per psi Fuel lost at 0.3% per psi Cost at November prices
60 litres of Special 95 0.6 litres 0.9 litres Dh2.42 to Dh3.64
1,000 litres of diesel 10 litres 15 litres Dh47.50 to Dh71.25

For a car, that is small change. For a diesel fleet, the waste at this shortfall is about the same as, or more than, the whole Dh50 price cut in our example.

Fuel is the smaller reason to check, though. Our tyre pressure guide covers the safety side.

What to do this week

  1. Check when the tyres are cold, before driving or after they have stood for a while.
  2. Use the door-label figure, not the maximum on the sidewall. We don't give a pressure of our own, because the right number is your car's.
  3. Don't over-inflate to chase savings, and don't let air out of hot tyres.
  4. Check monthly. NHTSA says tyres lose about 1 psi a month.
  5. Look at the rest of the tyre while you are there. See our bulge, crack and tread check, and read the date code too.

What to check before you act

  • Confirm the current price at the pump; December's prices should follow at the end of November.
  • Treat the US percentages as a rough guide, not a promise for your car.
  • Fleet owners: add a cold pressure check to your routine, and record the result by vehicle.

Questions people ask

What are UAE fuel prices for November 2026?

Super 98 is Dh4.16 a litre, Special 95 is Dh4.04, E-Plus 91 is Dh3.97 and diesel is Dh4.75. The committee's prices were reported on 31 October 2026 and took effect on 1 November.

How much did petrol fall in November 2026?

24 fils a litre on each petrol grade, about 5.6%, and 5 fils a litre on diesel, about 1%. Arabian Business reported that the cut ended three straight monthly rises.

Does tyre pressure really affect fuel use?

Yes, but modestly. The US Department of Energy puts the loss at about 0.2% per psi dropped across all tyres, and NHTSA at 0.3%. We found no UAE-specific test, so treat these as rough guides.

What pressure should I use to save fuel?

Use the cold figure on your car's door label. Don't add extra air to chase fuel savings, and don't let air out of hot tyres to bring the reading down.
